Hello and welcome back to a new trip review. Today we're flying out of Malaga bound for Madrid. I'll be flying with Iberia on their CRJ-1000. Can't wait for my big flight across the Atlantic on the A350 in just a day.

When I went o the airport, I couldn't resist to just have a quick stop at the beach. The weather was loverly. It's a shame to leave this paradise, but we have a flight to catch. I went to the airport and checked in. The check in was relatively slow. It took ages for the employees to check everyone in. The check in was slow, but the security was faster than speed. It took only 5 minutes to pass through security. The airport terminal had a very simple and industrial look. Not the nicest but it worked. I went to the gate and I had view of the active runway. I just love seeing those metal birds slowing down or gaining speed. My plane arrived right on time. On hour later we were allowed to hard the plane.

The seat was very simple. There was no TV and no power. There was a seat pocket with some magazines in it, but those were Spanish and I can't speak or read Spanish. The seat was very comfortable, the legroom was okay and the material of which the seat was made of, was so comfortable.

We took off and climbed very fast to cruise level. By the time we reached cruise level, the crew started serving some drinks and some snacks. The snacks were not the best ever, to be honest they were disgusting. The drinks were good, I chose some Cola and it tasted normal.

The flight is less then an hour so we started our decent into Madrid very soon after the service. The decent and landing were smooth. We taxied to the gate and got off the plane. I was an absolutely amazing airport. So modern and clean. As I went to my hotel for my night, I realized how beautiful Madrid was. It was a shame that my flight to Buenos Aires was in less then 24 hours, otherwise I would have explored the city.

Overview

  • Seat comfort: 7/10

  • Legroom: 6/10

  • Food: 3/10

  • Cleanliness: 6/10

  • In-flight entertainment (IFE): 2,5/10

  • Crew: 7/10

  • Experience: 5,5/10

Conclusion

Iberia Express' CRJ-1000 is a great plane, really comfortable, and the crew was very friendly. The food though wasn't good at all. Overall it was a okay flight, with good things and bad things. The seat was incredible comfortable (for an economy class) and the legroom was quite good but not super. The IFE was disappointing. Overall Iberia Express is a good airlines for short-haul, But If this is the quality on their long-haul flights, I would't survive it.

Thanks for following along on my journey to South-America.
