Hello from Buenos Aires and welcome back to another trip repost. Today we're flying Aerolineas Argentinas from Buenos Aires to Miami. We're flying on their beautiful A330-200. I've booked an economy class ticket for seat 33 A.
Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with old and modern building mixed. I prefer modern buildings, but that's my own preference. The city is located next to the Atlantic Ocean. The view from the buildings over the seat is very beautiful. I've been here for only four days, but I can stay here for months. The boat trips were so cool, there were dolphins jumping next to the boat, which I've never seen and I can't get over it how nice it was. The nature in Buenos Aires is over all very nice.
So I took a taxi to the airport and went in to the building. As I've mentioned in my previous trip report, I'm not a big fan of the airport. The benches in the waiting area are made out of metal, with no leather or anything els to soften the seat. The view from the terminal was nice though. When I arrived at the gate, the plane was already there. I've seen pictures of the plane's livery before, but it was even more beautiful on real life. The plane looked very clean and shiny in the sunlight.
When we boarded the plane, I heard some really nice boarding music. It was some art for my ears. The seat was modern and looked comfortable. As I put my luggage away in the overhead lockers, I tried to look out of the window. The view was amazing. I was able to see the whole wing and flaps, but I was also able to look down. Thats why I prefer seats before or behind the wing. If the seat is located above the wing, you're not able to look down, something I love to do during a flight. Today we're flying above the Amazon and I am looking forward to the view from above. The seat was as comfortable as it appeared, so it didn't fool me. The legroom was decent, not fantastic but I would probably survive it. The flight time will be around 8 hours and 30 minutes.
We departed from the gate 10 minutes late, due to pushback delay. The takeoff went smooth and I was amazed by the amazing view, as we departed Buenos Aires. WSe flew over the whole city, and i couldn't believe my eyes. The view was so beautiful from above, that I totally forgot I was here to fly.
As we reached our cruise altitude some snacks were served. I chose for a very delicious cookie and some pepsie. Nothing wrong with that.
When I finished my snack, I wanted to sleep. I tried to sleep, but the seats were not good for sleeping. The seat was really comfortacle when just sitting n it, but if you try to sleep, it's just like a wooden bed. There was no other option than just being awake for the full 9 hours. I started exploring the IFE. To be honest, the IFE was quite good. There was a big veriaty of movies from all over the world. The music section was decent and there were even some games you could play. They weren't the high tech games as for PC and Xbox, but they were just simple arcade games. I played around 20-30 minutes with it, and then i became boring. When i looked out of the window I finnaly was able to see the Amazon. It was just like i expected it to be. There was so many green down there, with many small rivers down there. For the view, you should definitely travel this route. As far as the eye could reach, there was rainforrest. As we flew further nrth, we started to approch the Caribean Sea. The sea was so blue, and the beaches around the sea were so white. I just instantly wanted to visit that place.
After the beaches, we reached the endless sea. Ever where you looked, there was dark blue water. I was able to spot a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean. Not long after that, we reveived dinner The dinner was some pasta with some well made chicken in it. The bread you got as a sort of snack wasn't good at all, it was way to dry. The dessert was some ice with a cookie. Very nice meal.
One hour later we began our decent into Miami. I was really looking forward to this tropical, sunny destination, as it was raining in Buanos Aires almost all the time. The decent was a bit bumpy, but i like that. I really like the feeling in your stomach when you're going up and down, not in rollercoasters though, they are just scary.
The landing at Miami was realy smooth. When i deboarded the plane, I realised how tired I was. I didn't pay much attention to the airport, as i just wanted to go to my hotel and sleep. What I saw was a really nice airport, but as I mentiond, I was so tired. I had o jetlag as the flight wasn't from one timzone to another, but it wa a long day.
